today i walked in the footsteps of the magi, the footsteps of a dried-flower girl, eyes all powered pale with violets and skeletal breathing, i walked in the shoes of the slumbering, tasted the lips of the greeks, sang sea-shanties to parisians and wept with the nuns in their concubines.
we shuffled our footsteps, androgynous in thought and deed, whispering in russian and arabic. we painted our faces sombre, and wove our hair with constellations.

ReplyDeleteYour blog is just so poetic. It doesn't really sound like a blog, it sounds like a prolific rosebush vine wreathing over the minds of the readers, planting in them seeds of otherworldly prose. You are such an extraordinary talent.
Thank you Jewel!
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased you like it, it's a little different from the normal things I do, and I'm finding it to be a breath of fresh air. I hope you see more of what you like here!!
